Originally from across the pond Noel Smith made the United States his choice as the best place to raise a family and pursue a worthwhile business career. He has worked and lived in the Carolinas for over 35 years. He started with the 3 M Company in their international sales and marketing sector for Central America and the Caribbean, representing industrial, retail divisions and medical products. Later he was promoted to their medical imaging division in Miami, Atlanta, and New York.

In 1985 he purchased Chamberlin Company, a Raleigh based commercial construction business, that specialized in concrete repair and water resistant product installations, eventually expanding the business with operations in Richmond and Charlotte. In 1994 he formed a separate division of Chamberlin and constructed commercial investment property in the University area of Charlotte.

In 1999 he created a real estate partnership in the Blue Ridge where he developed land, built homes and sold real estate. Mr. Smith has obtained an unusually diverse experience with both residential and commercial real estate, from buying land, constructing buildings, leasing and selling property. Mr. Smith started Smith Associates, a consulting company for a local Workers Compensation insurance agency, eventually expanding this interest to include becoming a license Property & Casualty Agent for Charlotte Insurance.  He specializes as a commercial agent.

Along with his involvement with professional organizations, Mr. Smith also dedicates time to volunteer work with the Mecklenburg Prison Ministry.
